All your questions answered... updated 18th January
We would like to say a huge THANK YOU to all our members for supporting us.
We are so proud of the tfd community spirit.
If your question isn’t answered in our FAQ’s, please email us
As we have an unusually high volume of emails we will endeavour to deal with your query within 5 working days.
What happens to my direct debit payments when the gym is closed?
We have frozen all direct debit payments whilst we are closed.
Your direct debit will automatically start again when we re-open.
If you are due to make a payment between 25th December and the first few days of January it’s likely your payment will still be collected, however, future payments will be adjusted accordingly to ensure you don’t pay for the time we are closed.
What happens to my membership if I paid up front?
We will extend your membership by the amount of time we are closed or the amount of time remaining on your membership if this is shorter.
All memberships will automatically be started again on the day we re-open.
We will email you when we have a re-opening date.
How do I make changes to my membership?
Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you need to make any changes to your membership.

Will I need to book my gym sessions or can I just turn up?
When we understand the situation at the time of re-opening, we will confirm if gym session booking will be required.
Maintaining safe numbers in the gym is ALWAYS a priority for tfd.
Whilst in the gym sanitise all equipment touched, using the sanitiser provided.
Only train in close proximity with one other person in your bubble.
KEEP YOUR DISTANCE AT ALL TIMES
Can I bring a guest?
Yes, your guests are welcome to visit the gym with you as long as they are not visiting from a county that is in a higher tier than Oxfordshire. Please email or call us to book their visit.
On arrival we will ask your guest to complete a health questionnaire and we will check your guest in on each visit.
Please note that you are responsible for ensuring that your guest follows all of our current safety procedures.
Will the pool, sauna, steam and sunbed be open?
The pool is now open and can be booked in hourly slots.
The sunbed is also now open.
Unfortunately due to government advice the sauna & steam will remain closed. We are keen to get these open as soon as possible and will review the guidelines regularly.
How do I attend classes at tfd?
All classes can be pre-booked 7 days in advance using our FitSense app. Please make sure you cancel your class if you can no longer attend. Access to the app will temporarily be removed if you fail to attend booked classes.
As class numbers are temporarily restricted, we ask that a maximum of 2 classes per day are booked.
To check your bookings go to to ‘manage bookings’ and you will see your booked classes.
Sanitiser will be provided for you to use on the equipment you have touched.
Please leave promptly when your class ends.
KEEP YOUR DISTANCE AT ALL TIMES & WEAR A MASK WHEN NOT EXERCISING
How will the gym floor be managed to ensure everyone follows the rules?
A member of our team will be present at all times on the gym floor carrying out regular cleaning of high touch points and making sure procedures are followed to keep everyone safe.
Has the gym floor space been changed to ensure social distancing is easy?
We have increased the gym floor space by 171sqm and all equipment has been spaced minimum of 2m apart.
This extra space has also allowed us to provide 6 functional training bays on the mezzanine for individuals and pairs to workout in safe zones.
Who is responsible for cleaning equipment I've used?
We provide sanitiser, cloths and paper towels for you to use on equipment you have touched.
Can I use the changing rooms as normal?
In the short term our showers and lockers will be out of use.
Controlled access to the toilets is available.
Please come changed and ready to go, leaving bags in your car as lockers are not available.
Bags and non essential personal belongings cannot be brought into the gym.
Will the water machines be in use?
Water machines are considered high risk and for now will remain out of use.
Please bring a full water bottle or two with you.
